Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers

Named Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2019, Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers have consistently delivered chart-topping radio hits and energetic performances over nearly 15 years. Since 2013, they have also become regular guests on the Grand Ole Opry. Their last album, "For The Record", was a Top 5 Billboard hit and remained on the charts for 13 months, producing multiple Top 10 singles. Their latest all-Gospel album, "Somewhere Beyond The Blue" is receiving rave reviews, with the first single, “Hear Jerusalem Calling” nominated for a Gospel Recorded Performance by the IBMA. Joe Mullins is an award-winning radio broadcaster who can be heard daily across the globe via Real Roots Radio and is also host of the syndicated radio program Front Porch Fellowship. Most recently, he produced the IBMA’s Album of the Year, Industrial Strength Bluegrass for Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have generated an in-demand following on the national scene, allowing them to be one of today’s most heralded torch-bearers in mainstream bluegrass and gospel music.

The Price Sisters

The Price Sisters 5-piece band showcases a traditional yet fresh and creative bluegrass sound featuring twin-sister harmony. The band collectively has been nominated for the IBMA’s Momentum Band of the Year while Lauren has received nominations for Momentum Vocalist and Instrumentalist of the Year and Leanna for Momentum Vocalist. The Price Sisters have garnered popularity with full-time touring across the US as well as trips to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Canada, appearing at festivals and leading workshops. Presently The Price Sisters have signed on to McCoury Music and are anticipating their first album release for the label, produced by Ronnie McCoury, in early 2024. 

  

Low Ground

Curated in South Florida, Low Ground is a driving bluegrass inspired band that crosses sonic boundaries. Expect their live shows to guarantee high quality music and pure love of the craft.   Low Ground is heavily influenced by Bluegrass, Swing, Folk, Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Jam. As a band they strive to honor the history and tradition set forth by these styles of music; all while including their own creative vision.

The bandmates include Paddy King on Fiddle, Amanda Accardi on Upright Bass, Isaac Taylor on Banjo, Trevor Klutz on Mandolin, and Nicholas Kiriazis on Guitar. Together they form a unique blend. A fresh sound that keeps the traditionalists happy, while also catering to those whose seek to push past the boundaries of the norm.

 

The Flattlanders

The Flattlanders are one of North Florida’s top bluegrass and gospel bands, delivering tight harmonies and a hard driving traditional sound with a contemporary edge. Established in early 2020, these members were already seasoned veterans in the genre, and are excited to share their gifts as a band. The band consists of Brian Andrews (guitar), Joey Lazio (mandolin), Andy Kennan (banjo), and Matt Melton, (bass). You will most certainly enjoy what these young men have to offer, and not want to miss their performance, if they are in your area!

Q: How do I buy tickets?

A: Advance tickets are $20 online and tickets will be $25 at the gate day of. Veterans and children under 8 are free of charge. Tickets may be purchased online at www.ocalafl.gov/brickcityblugerass

Veterans and children under 8 do not need to have an advance ticket and will get in free at the gate.

Q: Are coolers allowed?

A: No, but there will be wine and beer available for purchase at $5 per drink. Food trucks will be on-site with additional soft drinks available for purchase.

Q: Are chairs provided?

A: No. Please plan to bring your own chair or blanket.

Q: Can I bring food into the event zone?

A: Yes, however we encourage you to check out our food vendors – Rollin Sliders, The Krafty Kettle, Country Boyz BBQ and Pepere Joe’s.

Q: Where can I park?

A: The nearest parking will be in the city parking garage next to Citizens’ Circle. There are also many options for street and lot parking downtown.

Q: Where do I enter the event zone?

A: There will be one entrance for the event zone at the corner of Osceola and Fort King Street. There will be separate lines for those who have already purchased a ticket and those who still need to.

Q: Can I leave and re-enter the event zone?

A: Yes, everyone who buys a ticket will receive a wristband to allow for re-entry.

Q: Are dogs allowed?

A: Yes, however they must be leashed and picked up after.

Q: Is there an age limit to get into the festival?

A: Nope, we welcome all ages.

Q: What if it rains?

A: We will make the best attempt to reschedule the event, but no refunds will be given.

Q: Is there a first aid station/medic on site?

A: Yes, Ocala Fire Rescue will be available if needed.

Q: Can I come onsite to sell stuff?

A: Only approved vendors may sell items onsite. At this time, we are currently not accepting any additional vendors.

Q: What can’t I bring into the festival?

A:

• No outside alcohol
• No coolers
• No musical instruments
• No weapons of any kind
• No tents, umbrellas or shade structures of any kind
• No glitter of confetti
• No grills
• No balloons, balls or inflatables
• No laser points
• No sporting equipment
• Any item deemed unsafe by OPD is not allowed

Q: What is the restroom situation?

A: Restrooms are available on-site at Citizens’ Circle and there will be additional portalets. Restrooms are ADA accessible.

Q: What can I bring into the festival?
