Mayor Ben Marciano

Over the past 20 years, Ben’s passion has been to serve his community in a myriad of ways. After beginning his career as a health trainer Ben realized his calling to serve those around him and quickly advanced to become the executive director of the DeLuca YMCA. Taking the facility from one of the worst ranked regionally to implementing new programs, bringing new life and purpose to YMCA members, and creating a structure that quickly grew to become one of the best. His drive to serve his community with passion and lead with his heart helped him achieve success alongside his team and YMCA members.

Ben moved on to open Zone Health and Fitness with his wife Danielle. Together they have worked hard to develop successful health facilities that serve members of the community in two areas of Marion County. Today, Zone Health and fitness serves thousands of members of the local community with the goal of keeping Ocala safe and healthy for generations to come.

Ben achieved an associate degree in criminal justice from the College of Central Florida and remains active with local law enforcement to help drive community awareness and assist in outreach of youth through the Chief Greg Graham Legacy Foundation, The Centers Ocala, Boys and Girls Club, The Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County, Project Hope, American Heart Association, FCA, Men’s Prayer Breakfast, as well as many others.

Ben and his wife have 3 beautiful children and are members of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
