    Councilmember Jay Musleh

    Jay Musleh, who assumed office in May of 2012 to fill an unexpired term, represents District 3. He is the Senior Vice President and a Credit Administrator for South State Bank.

    He is a third generation Ocalan with more than 43 years of banking experience. He is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Ocala, and a former member of Marion Technical Institute's advisory board. Currently, he also serves on the Marion County Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Board, as well as the Tourist Development Council (TDC) Board.

    He also served for 16 years on the Ocala Code Enforcement Board, including several years as chairman.

    He is married to Sigrid and has four grown children: Heather, Jay, Jessica, Christina and 7 grandchildren.
