Council President Barry Mansfield

Barry Mansfield joined the Ocala City Council in December 2021, elected to represent District 1 (at-large), which encompasses the entire Ocala city limits.

As an Ocala native, Barry's passion for his community began long before his professional career. After graduating from Forest High School, Barry went on to earn his bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in aviation from LeTourneau University. Returning to Ocala to pursue a career in construction management, Barry worked alongside his father-in-law, Jerry Cullison, who has ties to Ocala back to the 1800s. 30 plus years later, Barry's leadership position as President of Cullison-Wright Construction has enabled him to establish long-lasting relationships with members of our community, from code enforcement to police and fire departments. His appreciation and understanding of the inner workings of our city have motivated him to seek a position with local government.

As a product of the Marion County Public School system, Barry knew that the city of Ocala was the perfect place to call home. Committed to their community, Barry and his wife Sandy, held an active role in their children's education. Barry has always supported our public school system, including serving on SAC committees, the PTA and partnering to bring South Ocala Elementary School the Frosty Festival,

In addition to education, Barry is committed to serving our local police and fire departments. As an upstanding member of our community, he realizes the importance of everyone working together to create a community that is prosperous for all. Barry's proudest achievements are his wife, Sandy, of 35 years, his two sons, Cody and Colt, and his two Irish setters, Bree and Gilly.
