Creative Lettering and Calligraphy

Calligraphy is the art of ‘beautiful lettering’ and not just adults are interested in creative lettering and calligraphy. Kids, too, can find relaxation as well as enjoyment in using hand lettering to create handmade projects for themselves and their families. We use letters all the time, but how often do we take advantage of making them lively and full of character? The classes are suited for any child between the ages of 7 and 15 and no prior experience with hand lettering is necessary. The classes focus on creative lettering and hand lettering, and are a great introduction to learning calligraphy.

The elegance of a hand-lettered envelope or card cannot be matched by a machine. For this reason, the art of calligraphy has survived, even flourished, despite the availability of computer technology. Have you always wanted to learn calligraphy? Or perhaps penmanship was your favorite part of school? Or you took a calligraphy class years ago and have wanted to get back to it? Join us for an introduction to calligraphy and hand lettering. All levels of experience are welcome.

Our fun and certified volunteer instructors mix low-intensity and interval cardio training with fitness and wellness tips that will enable anyone from the novice fitness student to the gym guru to have fun and get healthy.
