All staff members in the Central Lines Maintenance Division are required to be certified by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). We use inline remote controlled TV cameras to conduct sewer system inspections. Vactor trucks are used for various water and sewer system purposes.

The Central Lines Maintenance Division maintains, repairs, and replaces:

• Over 512 miles of potable water lines
• 24,500 water meters
• 4,000 fire hydrants
• 355 miles of gravity sewer lines
• 98 miles of sewer force mains
• 50 miles of reclaimed water lines
• 7,654 manholes
