Ocala International generates its income through fuel sales, land and building rent, hangar and tie-down rentals, concessions, miscellaneous revenue, and interest income.

Expenditures consist of salaries and benefits, maintenance and operations, utilities, insurance, professional fees, administrative expenses, miscellaneous expenses, capital improvements, and grant matching.  These are the items required to maintain the airport, provide services and operate the airport, including lighting the public and airfield areas of the airport.  Capital improvements include costs for the upkeep of the airport, its facilities and equipment, and any airport infrastructure improvements that are necessary.  The Airport is self-sufficient, generating enough revenue to pay for itself without being a burden on the City's general fund.
