“Hospice of Marion County welcomes the healing modalities of art into our bereavement programs. Our children have access to art activities at our Monarch Center for Hope and Healing, our Bereavement Camps, and in Community Classes,” states Jessica McCune, Outreach/Support Liaison, Hospice of Marion County. “New this year is a partnership with the Appleton Museum of Art for children ages 7-12. Drawing is a body-mind-spirit activity that helps us identify emotions. Color can reflect our feelings which helps us recognize grief and loss. We are all strong enough to hold joy and loss, side-by-side in our hearts, mind and soul. Art helps us remember our strength.”
