OCALA, Fla. (Aug. 13, 2021) – The City of Ocala continues to provide a variety of options for citizens to observe and/or participate in public meetings. The recently updated city website provides a fully integrated user experience and allows citizens to utilize livestreaming features, eliminating the need for using the Zoom platform.
To view a livestream of the Ocala City Council meetings, advisory boards and committee meetings, citizens and interested parties may use the following options to access the meeting online:
- Go to the City of Ocala’s website: www.ocalafl.org
- On the main page, under the word, ‘Government’, a drop-down menu will appear.
- Locate the ‘Meeting Recordings’ section on the far-left side of the drop-down menu.
- Locate the meeting in the ‘Upcoming Events’ section and a “watch now” link will appear on the line of the selected meeting.
- By clicking on the link, citizens will be able to watch the meeting virtually.
- Meetings recorded live will be available the following business day via online.
Previously recorded meetings will be retained on the same webpage, and can be accessed via https://www.ocalafl.org/meetings. To view a previously recorded meeting online, scroll past the ‘Upcoming Meetings’ section and locate ‘Previous Meetings.’ Expand the meeting group and select the video link located to the far-right side.
Residents are also encouraged to sign up for the City of Ocala e-notification system to receive information about public meetings, posting of agendas, announcements, events and newsletters.
