OCALA, Fla. (June 5, 2024) – The First Friday Art Walk Steering Committee is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 season. Applications are open for participating artists, arts organizations, participating downtown businesses, and business sponsorships. To participate in the complete season of First Friday Art Walk, applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Applications will be reviewed by the First Friday Art Walk Steering Committee and are available on the City’s website at www.ocalafl.gov/artwalk. Submissions received after Aug. 1 are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the 2024-2025 season.

First Friday Art Walk begins Sept. 6, 2024, and concludes May 2, 2025. Each year, more than 30 artists and 10 art organizations participate. Artists are paired with participating downtown businesses along the streets surrounding Ocala’s Historic Downtown Square. The monthly event features original artwork, live art demonstrations, family-friendly free arts activities, and performances.
