OCALA, Fla. (May 21, 2024) – Due to road construction of the SW 44th Ave. project, miscellaneous road closures will be in effect beginning Tuesday, May 28 through Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025.
To accommodate Phase I construction, SW 43rd Ct. will be closed to all traffic between SW 36th St. and SW 40th St., including the intersection at SW 40th St. and SW 43rd Ct., May 28 through Aug. 1.
This project will be completed in multiple phases over the next few months and drivers should anticipate interruptions to the regular flow of traffic where these road widening projects will take place. Attached is the maintenance of traffic plan highlighting the construction phases.
Message boards and necessary devices will be in place to notify drivers of the new traffic pattern. During construction times, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust, and heavy equipment within the project area. Access will be granted to residential properties and businesses and flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
