City of Ocala Hosting Public Meeting Regarding SE Ocala Neighborhood Traffic Calming Study

OCALA, Fla. (March 26, 2024) –The City of Ocala, along with consultant Kimley-Horn, will host a community meeting Wednesday, April 10, 5:30 p.m. at IHMC, 15 SE Osceola Ave. The meeting will present the findings of a recent traffic study that covers a portion of SE Ocala. This meeting is free and open to the public.

The study was performed in the area between SE Watula Ave. and SE 22nd Ave., bordered to the north by SE Fort King St., and bordered to the south by State Road 464. This area includes Eighth Street Elementary and the Woodfields neighborhood.

The meeting will cover the existing conditions, crash history, speed data, potential traffic calming measures, and pedestrian and bicycle improvements. Attendees will be asked to provide their feedback on the results and recommendations of the study.
