OCALA, Fla. (March 15, 2024) – The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department is excited to announce the artists for the upcoming Sunset Songs Series. This series is hosted once a month on Wednesday nights and debuted in January. Concerts are located at the Downtown Square, 1 SE Broadway St., 6 to 8 p.m. During the series local and regional artists play original music ranging from funk, blues, reggae, and country.

The Central Florida based band, Propaganjah, is scheduled to perform Wednesday, March 20. This group of collective musicians brings a fresh, energetic approach to the reggae genre, while blending Caribbean rhythms and R&B roots. Propaganjah has played with numerous national and international legends such as, Third World, The Wailers, The Original Wailers, Inner Circle, Less Than Jake, SOJA, Pato Banton, Ballyhoo!, The Green, and an array of other national and international artists.

Appearing Wednesday, April 24, the talented duo known as Martin & Kelly will take the stage. Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly have become the next must-see act, from New England to Nashville. With compelling songwriting, dynamic vocal harmonies, and good ole’ country pickin’, Jilly and Ryan bridge the boundary between traditional and new country. Most recently they warmed up audiences for artists such as Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, The Oak Ridge Boys, Little Big Town, Alabama, Dwight Yoakam, Rodney Atkins, Phil Vassar, Lonestar, Chris Janson, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sara Evans, the Bacon Brothers, and many more.
