OCALA, Fla. (Oct. 2, 2023) – The City of Ocala Cultural Arts Division invites chalk artists to apply to compete in a juried chalk art competition taking place Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monetary prizes will be presented to first and second-place winners along with a People’s Choice Award. First place will receive $500, second place and People’s Choice Award will receive $250 each. This competition is open to artists currently working and residing in the state of Florida.
Applications can be found online at www.ocalafl.gov/artpark. Entries can be submitted via email to artinfo@ocalafl.gov or mailed to the City of Ocala Cultural Arts, 201 SE Third St., 2nd Floor, Ocala, FL 34471. The application is free to apply.
The event will also feature local artisans and vendors booths, food trucks, live music by performing artists, and the opportunity for the local community to create their own chalk art.
