Call to Artists: Art in City Spaces

OCALA, Fla. (July 18, 2023) – The City of Ocala announces a call to artists for the Art in City Spaces exhibition program. The city is seeking unique, thought-provoking public exhibitions that center around aviation and aerospace themes in any two-dimensional media. Proposals are currently being accepted for the following exhibition space:

 

  • Ocala International Airport, 1770 SW 60th Ave., Suite 600

The City of Ocala’s Art in City Spaces program provides the opportunity for artists and art organizations to exhibit their work in a municipal public space. The city seeks art exhibitions in various media that are appropriate for a municipal public space where work will be viewed by citizens and guests of all ages. Interested parties must apply and be approved before an exhibition is scheduled.

Applications are available online at www.ocalafl.org/artincityspaces. Application, artist resume, artist statement, and high-quality images files to:

Only complete applications will be reviewed. Viewer engagement, originality of concepts, use of media, and

techniques are all considered during the review process. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and exhibitions can be booked up to two years in advance.
