OCALA, Fla. (Nov. 16, 2022) – The City of Ocala, in partnership with Magnolia Art Xchange (MAX), presents Art Outside the Lines Brunch, Saturday, Feb. 18, 9 a.m. to noon at the Magnolia Art Xchange, located at Ocala Union Station, 531 NE First Ave.

The event features brunch, signature coffee drinks, guest art speakers, and a performance by Tasha Robinson of the Ocala Symphony Orchestra (OSO). Attendees may upgrade their ticket to include a climate-controlled, guided, bus tour of the city’s new public art. In addition, attendees can purchase a chance-to-win ticket from MAX for an opportunity to win prizes. Proceeds from the chance-to-win will benefit MAX, a not-for-profit arts incubator.

The following ticketing options will go on sale Friday, Nov. 18, noon:

  • Brunch Ticket: $30 online/$35 at the door. Includes admission to the brunch.
  • Brunch/Tour Ticket: $35 online/$40 at the door. Includes brunch and art tour.

Five dollars of every ticket sold will be donated to the artist-in-residency program at the Magnolia Art Xchange.

Tickets are limited and are available for purchase at www.ocalafl.org/artpark.

“Last year our Beginning of Bolted Art (BOBA) event kicked-off with a brunch. The brunch and accompanying music by members of the Ocala Symphony Orchestra, along with presentations by artists and arts advocates were well received and we are bringing it back this year for Art Outside the Lines.” said Laura Walker, Cultural Arts and Sciences Division Head. “This event will be an excellent opportunity to tour recent additions to the City’s public art collection and to support Magnolia Art Xchange’s continued programming.”

“Attendees can meet our resident artists and see their work. Additionally, we hope this will raise awareness of the Magnolia Art Xchange's residency program and encourage people to check out other events and services. We take pride in pushing Ocala's art scene forward,” said Jesse Daugherty, Interim Director at the Magnolia Art Xchange.
