OCALA, Fla. (March 23, 2021) – The playground at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreational Complex, 1510 NW Fourth Street, will be temporarily closed for two weeks beginning Wednesday, March 24.  During this time, old equipment will be removed and replaced with new playground equipment. The area is expected to reopen Wednesday, April 7.

Public safety during construction remains a priority.  The project area will be fenced for the duration of the playground installation. Staff will make every effort to minimize the disturbance to park activities, however, during construction park goers may experience noise and heavy equipment within the project area.  We encourage residents to utilize additional city parks during this time.
