OCALA, Fla. (Aug. 5, 2022) – To accommodate maintenance on a cell tower by a third-party contractor, a full road closure will be in place at SE Watula Ave., between SE Broadway Street and Silver Springs Blvd., Thursday, Aug. 11, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Detour Routes:

• Northbound traffic will travel west onto SE Fort King Street, then north onto SE First Avenue, then onto Silver Springs Blvd.
• Southbound traffic will travel west onto Silver Springs Blvd., then south onto SE Osceola Avenue, then east onto SE Fort King Street, then back onto SE Watula Avenue.
• Silver Springs Blvd. westbound traffic needing to travel south will move towards SE Osceola Avenue, then east onto SE Fort King Street, then onto SE Watula Avenue.
• Silver Springs Blvd. eastbound traffic needing to travel south will move towards SE Tuscawilla Avenue, then west onto SE Broadway Street, then onto SE Watula Avenue.

All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic.  Construction will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  During construction times, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust and heaving equipment within the project areas.
