ROAD CLOSURE: SE Third Street and SE 11th Avenue

OCALA, Fla. (Feb. 2, 2022) – Due to construction for the City of Ocala’s Drainage Rehabilitation Improvement Program, a road closure will be in effect on SE 11th Ave., from SE Second St. to SE Fifth St., beginning Monday, Feb. 14. Construction is expected to be completed by Friday, Feb. 18. This project will reduce flooding throughout the area.

All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic. Construction will take place Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During construction times, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust and heavy equipment within the project area.

Detour routes:

  • South-bound Detour: Right turn onto SE Second St., left turn onto SE 10th Ave., left turn onto SE Fifth St., back onto SE 11th Ave.
  •  North-bound Detour: Left turn onto SE Fifth St., right turn onto SE 10th Ave., right turn onto SE Second St., back onto SE 11th Ave.
