'For the Sake of Horse and Ballerinas' by Trudy Johnson is Now on Display

Post Date:01/21/2022 12:42 PM

OCALA, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2022) – The exhibit of For the Sake of Horse and Ballerinas by Trudy Johnson, is now open at City Hall, 110 SE Watula Ave.  The art exhibit will be on display through Tuesday, March 29, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Artist, Trudy Johnson, was born in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and currently resides in Summerfield, Florida. She earned her associate degree in building construction and later earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.  A self-taught artist since 2011, she continues to experiment and discover new techniques.

From a young age, drawing has always been one of Trudy's favorite pastimes. Her pieces reflect a love of old architecture, antiquated and forgotten things, a fascination with the limitless expression of the human face, and a recently discovered love of ballet. She has produced a protean kind of art, not sticking to one thing, only what her heart feels and her mind dictates. She explores various mediums, utilizing whatever best expresses her artistic vision. Johnson is inspired by various artists both past and present. She has sold several pieces, many of which have traveled farther than she has.
